The United Nations War Memorabilia Framed Vinyl

We had a lovely gentleman who brought in a silk scarf he had wrapped up in brown paper for many years. He had bought it when leaving the Korean war in 1953, it had faded so he asked us to recreate it so he could have it as a smaller version up on his wall.

The scarf depicts the many flags of the United Nations. These are the original flags of the countries that took part in the Korean war with the various flash badges of the units that were involved. It also features a map of Japan, South and North Korea.
He remembers being stationed, on the 20th of June 1950 near the 38 degree division line in South Korea. The cease fire was called on the 27th of July 1953.

All of the badges were researched on the internet  to try and find higher quality and more detailed images to work from. The ones that were not found were re-drawn exactly as the details on the scarf.
